t
3 August 2001
-o
Untreated wastewater is presently discharged to several wastewater ponds; and you have not obtained
Waste Discharge Requirements for this discharge. Therefore, the discharge is prohibited by the
California Water Code and in addition, is not consistent with wastewater treatment/storage/disposal
requirements of the Regional Board.
Pursuant to Section 13267 of the California Water Code, by 31 August 2001 Lodi Wine and Business
Center shall submit a technical report which describes how it will connect to the City’s wastewater
collection system and an implementation schedule. The schedule shall show all improvements
completed before 15 November 2001. Failure to submit the technical report may result in an
enforcement action or a fine of up to $ 1,000 per day late.
Michael Brusselback
The Cranbrook Group
3180 Crow Canyon Place, Suite 220
San Ramon, CA 94583
Staff has reviewed the 19 July 2001 Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Study, prepared by DJH
Engineering. The report was prepared in response to a 5 April 2001 request by Regional Board staff for
a Report of Waste Discharge. The report that was submitted describes generation of industrial
wastewater at the site and recommends connecting the facility to the City of Lodi wastewater treatment
system. That is an acceptable alternative for disposing of the site’s wastewater. However, the report
does not include an implementation schedule.
Gray Davis
Governor
Winston H.
