Proof of submission is attached. <br />The facility is awaiting issuance of the permanent EPA ID number and will update applicable records upon receipt. <br />Cepheid acknowledges the requirement to perform a hazardous waste assessment. We will make a formal <br />determination using generator knowledge and/or laboratory testing. Until a more detailed analysis can be made, <br />the rags will be managed as California Hazardous Waste. The corrective action description also states to immediately <br />cease sending the rags to Cintas. Cepheid, disagrees with this. In accordance with HSC 25144.6, “reusable soiled <br />textile materials” may be sent to a laundering facility without using a hazardous waste manifest and without paying <br />Generation and Handling fees on this waste amount. Cepheid has confirmed that Cintas meets the qualifying criteria <br />in HSC 25144.6. and Cintas is authorized to accept reusable soiled textile materials.
