COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Name of Facility: ROSS DRESS FOR LESS #0995 Date: 10/23/2025 <br />Address: 2220 Daniels , MANTECA 95337 <br />Owner/Operator: ROSS DRESS FOR LESS, INC Telephone: (925) 965-4526 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: CO2500608 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />COMPLAINANT STATES THERE IS MOUSE DROPPINGS ON THE FOOD SHELVES. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; 113700. <br />All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and have the <br />potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br />OBSERVATIONS: I observe a lot of rodents droppings on the prepackaged food storage shelves on the sales floor at the back <br />kitchenware station. Provide more pest control service. Shelves with rodents droppings to be cleaned and sanitized with chlorine <br />100 ppm. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin: rodents (rats, mice), cockroaches, flies.( 114259.1, 114259.4, <br />114259.5) <br /> #30 Food Storage/Display Properly Labeled <br />OBSERVATIONS: I observe scattered dry food on the display shelves at the back kitchenware area. Check open dry food bags <br />and remove them. Clean and sanitize surfaces. Correct today and regularly after. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Food shall be stored in approved containers and labeled as to contents. Food shall be stored at least 6" <br />above the floor on approved shelving. (114047, 114049, 114051, 114053, 114055, 114067(h), 114069 (b)) <br /> #44 Premises: Clean/Litter Free; Vermin-Proof <br />OBSERVATIONS: Back storage area ( stocking) has a lot of litter. Many boxes stored on the floor. Remove unnecessary items <br />and store all boxes 6 inches off the floor for better cleaning and better pest control . Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: The premises of each food facility shall be kept clean and free of litter and rubbish all clean and soiled linen <br />shall be properly stored non-food items shall be stored and displayed separate from food and food-contact surfaces the facility shall be <br />kept vermin proof.
