SECOR <br />0 Intel nallonal'Incolpolatcd <br />V y] <br />Februai y 9, 2001 <br />Pi oject 077 41991 043 <br />Mi Richaid C Prima, Ji <br />City of Lodi Public Works Dnectot <br />221 West Pine Street <br />Lodi, CA <br />RE Discharge Report for January 2001 <br />Former Chevron #9-5775 <br />301 West Kettleman Lane <br />Lodi, California <br />Cleanup and Abatenient Order No 5-00-704 <br />Wastewater Discharge Permit #295 <br />Dear Mr Prima <br />This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br />Chevron Products Company (Chevron), presents operating data for the groundwater <br />extraction (GWE) system at the site referenced above (Figures 1 and 2) Chevron <br />discharges treated groundwater at the subject site under City of Lodi Wastewater <br />Discharge Permit #295 <br />Extraction and treatment of groundwater was initiated on July 3, 2000 The GWE <br />system extracts groundwater from site wells EX -1, MW-14/EX-2, and EX -3 Extracted <br />groundwater is routed through a particulate filter, then three 2,000 -pound liquid phase <br />activated carbon vessels (A, B, and C) plumbed in series A treatment system schematic <br />is shown on Figure 3 <br />Summary of GWE System Operation <br />Samples were collected form the influent port, midpoint 1 (between the first and second <br />carbon vessels), nudpoint 2 (between the second and third carbon vessels), and the <br />effluent port on January 3, 10, 18, 25, and 31, 2001 Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MtBE) <br />was reported in the effluent sample at a concentration of 0 88 ug/1 (Table 1) on January <br />315E This detection of MtBE is discussed in further detail in Summary of Violations <br />section of this letter All additional petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates were <br />reported as below detection limits Concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br />gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX compounds), di - <br />isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethanol, methanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB), and 1,2- <br />. dichloroethane were reported as below detection limits in influent, and midpoints i and <br />2 Maximum influent concentrations of MtBE, tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), ethyl <br />1225 Put IIiittic lath 111 11ur1ttla1u 4tett (1 94013 0io 691 0l it (,SIS 091 9837 1en unu +tc,w caul <br />
