Enclosed are the Third Quarter 1992 groundwater monitoring results for the above referenced
site Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted by RESNA Industries, Inc
(RESNA) personnel on September 10, 1992 Water level measurements were collected from
each monitoring well prior to purging and sampling (Attachment 1) Water levels have
decreased an average of 0 77 feet since the last monitoring event in April 1992 (Table 1) A
groundwater gradient map was calculated using the data collected on September 10, 1992 (Figure
1) The gradient is approximately 0 07 feet/feet or 370 feet/mile in a northeast direction
Monitoring well MW4 was not included in the gradient calculation due to the presence of mud
and silt in the well
Subsequent to monitoring, wells MW1, MW2, MW3, and MW5 were purged by extracting a
minimum of 3 well volumes While purging, the groundwater parameters (temperature,
conductivity, and pH) were monitored and allowed to stabilize before water samples were
collected The samples were transported to and analyzed by state-certified RESNA
Environmental Laboratories in Fremont, California No sample was analyzed from well MW4
due to the presence of mud and silt in the well
Samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) using EPA
Method 8020 and, total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) and total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHD) using modified EPA Method 8015 Monitoring Wells MW1,
MW2, and MW3 did not contain detectable concentrations of any petroleum hydrocarbon
i
QR091592 FNL
