03/22/2002 12- 57--- 209-579-2225 MODESTO ATC PAGE 01
. ATC ASSOCIATES INC. 1 117 Lone Palm Ave, Sults 0
Modesto, CA 95351
Tel 2091579-2221
rax 209/579-2225
TELECOPY MESSAGE
To- Mike Infurna Date: March 22, 2002
Of: EMD Job No.: 54 62514.0001
Fax No: No of Pages: 15 (Incl this page)
From: Jeanne Hornsey Hard copy to follow: Yes/No
Subject, King Island Resort
If you have trouble receiving this information, or you did not receive
the specified number of pages shown above, please call (209) 579-2221
Comments.
Mike,
Attached Is lab data for January 2002 QMR, Also a few things to note•
w Secor boring SB26 was drilled between the office/store and the restaurant in
1998. No soil samples analyzed. GW had 240,00 ppb TPHg, 59,000 ppb
TPHd and 130 ppb MTBE Boring S82 was drilled in the levee (by MW7) Soil
had 0.16 ppm benzene; 0,069 ppm toluene; and 0 031 ppb xylenes
TPHg/d/mo were ND and MTBE was not analyzed for soil Even with the low
soil concentrations at this location the GW at this location was hot — 150,000
ppb TPI-Ig and 3,000,000 ppb TPI-Id. MTBE was not analyzed at this location
(SB2) but was likely present based on the detectable concentrations in boring
S826 which is downgradient.
- The USTs were removed in March 1999 and the AST was installed in April
1999. In June 1999 the fuel lines were replaced.
- In July 1999, ATC advanced borings In the vicinity of Secor borings S132 and
SB26 and came up with similar findings. MTBE concentrations were very low
in soil relative to groundwater. MTBE in groundwater from boring SB28 was
413,000 ppb, much higher than what is being detected in MW7 groundwater
Also, Impacts to the levee were defined to the north (SB34) and immediately
northeast/east of the highest concentrations (SB33). The results show the path
of contamination appears to be migrating between the store and restaurant to
the vicinity of MWS.
This message is intended only for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed, end may contain information that is priWaged,
aonfidenbel and exempt from disclosure under applicable law if the reader of this massaaa Is not the Intended roo+pient, or the employee ar
agent responsible fat deNvering the message to the intended recipient, you are hereby notified that any dissemination, distribution or copying of
NO oommuniaation is strictly prohibited If you have received this oammurocetlon in error, please notify us ilninodiately by telephone and return
the original message to us at the address above Thank you
