Wright <br /> Environmental `r <br /> Services, Inc. <br /> February 5, 1998 Construction ♦ Engineering ♦ Remediation <br /> Project No 4111 <br /> Ms Dorothy Haley <br /> 1311 Madison Avenue <br /> Tracy, California 95376 <br /> Re- Quarterly Sampling Groundwater Monitoring Well <br /> Haley Flying Services 21000 Paradise Road, Tracy, CA <br /> Dear Ms Haley, <br /> This report describes the monitonng well sampling at the above referenced site for the quarter ending <br /> December 1997 Wright Environmental Services, Inc (Wright) was retained to coordinate sampling and <br /> chemical analysis of the site monitoring wells Previous reports are on file with the County of San <br /> Joaquin Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) regarding the removal of <br /> impacted soil discovered during underground fuel storage tank removal Three monitoring wells <br /> currently exist on-site <br /> Field Sampling Procedures <br /> Three monitoring wells were sampled on December 11, 1997 The samplers proceeded to purge well <br /> volumes of groundwater from each well using a submersible electric purge pump (a volume calculation <br /> was done for each well following water level measurements) Purge water was stored on-site in barrels <br /> Measurements of conductivity, pH, and water temperature were obtained between each well volume, and <br /> noted on the attached groundwater sampling information sheets Once the readings stabilized over two <br /> purge volumes, aquifer water was assumed to enter the well Each well was then allowed to recharge to <br /> about 80% of the initial water level prior to sample collection <br /> A new disposable bailer was used to obtain each well groundwater sample Each sample was carefully <br /> poured into laboratory prepared containers leaving no headspace, capped, labeled, logged onto chain-of- <br /> custody forms and immediately placed on ice for shipment to Chromalab Inc , Pleasanton, California (a <br /> State Certified Testing Lab) Table 1 presents the groundwater monitonng well water level data <br /> Table 1 Groundwater Monitoring Well Data <br /> Well No Date Well Depth to Casing Water Floating <br /> Depth Water Elev (ft) Elev (ft) Product <br /> MW-1 8125/97 1934 7 34 2239 1505 None <br /> MW-1 12/11/97 1934 1263 9 76 None <br /> MW-2 8125197 1725 7 07 2202 1495 None <br /> MW-2 12/11/97 1725 1234 968 None <br /> MW-3 8125197 1927 671 21 76 1505 None <br /> MW-3 12/11/97 1927 1205 971 None <br /> 4220 Commercial Dr, Suite 5 • Tracy,CA 95376 <br /> 209 833 0758 ♦ Fax 209 832 5152 <br /> wright@inreach com Lzc #651501 A-B HazMat <br />
