Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be
modified.
A. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study
incorporating proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic
tank usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of building permit(s) and/or final
occupancy(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading
study is required, and a review fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of submittal to
Environmental Health Department.
The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin
County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of
septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal
system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required.
B. Due to concerns by the Environmental Health Department in regards to high nitrate levels in
the drinking water, an addendum to the soil suitability/nitrate loading study of September 25,
2002, is required. This addendum is to address these concerns and enhance the previous
study in speaking to the current project.
NOTE: The addendum may require a package treatment plant or Civil Engineered septic system
with denitrification cycle in the system.
C. The existing private water wells shall be tested for general minerals and nitrates prior to the
issuance of building permits and/or final occupancy. Q
Page 1 of 2 I_ 5
