HWY 99, LODI <br /> TA: COUNTYWIDE <br /> The Environmental Health Department has the following comments concerning the General Plan <br /> Amendment and Zone Reclassification for APN# 059-260-10 and information regarding the Text <br /> Amendment: <br /> A. The Soil Suitability Study indicates the site is suitable for onsite wastewater disposal; <br /> however, it did not address the existing septic systems by calculating their size and locations <br /> and loading factors on the existing parcel in relationship to the number of employees and <br /> people living on this parcel. There was no provision for repairing the existing septic systems <br /> in accordance with the San Joaquin County Sewage Standards. If future development is <br /> initiated, additional evaluation related to sewage disposal will be necessary. <br /> B. The site is listed as a Contaminated Underground Storage Tank Site. The site has greater <br /> than 50,000 parts per billion of MTBE in the groundwater. The existing domestic well is <br /> considered endangered. Monitoring and clean up activities have not been timely. Should the <br /> E owner fail to correct discrepancies by July 15, 2004, The Environmental Health Department <br /> will issue a 90-day Out-of-Compliance Notice, and the site could be removed from state <br /> reimbursement funding to conduct the investigation and cleanup. <br /> -C <br />
