The test boring extended to a depth of
approximately 8 feet below existing ground surface. The Log of Test Boring is
presented on Plate H of this letter. All soils have been classified according
to the Unified Soils Classification System presented on Plate 1.
The percolation test holes were drilled and set-up on November 2, 1987, by a
representative of our firm. The test holes were drilled to depths of approxima-
tely 5 to 7 feet and 4-inch diameter perforated PVC pipe was inserted into the
test holes. The test holes were filled to the surface with relatively clean
water on November 9, 1987, and left to soak overnight.
On November 10, 1987, a representative of our firm returned to the site to per-
form the percolation tests. The tests were performed according to San Joaquin
County guidelines and the last 30 minutes of each test was observed by a county
sanitarian and was used to calculate the percolation rates. The percolation
rates are 60, 60, and greater than 5 minutes per inch for Tests 1, 2 and 3,
respectively. The percolation tests are presented on the attached sheets.
We trust this letter presents the information requested at this time.
