Corral Hollow Road Tracy, CA 95376 Attention: Kenneth Brown SUBJECT : REPORT OF DISPOSAL OF DIESEL CONTAMINATED SOIL Dear Mr . Brown: In 1991 diesel affected soil was excavated from the subject ad- dress which wass an operating truck yard. This excavation and stockpile was conducted under the direction of the San Joaquin Country Public Health and was performed by Falcon Energy of Stockton, California . Approximately 100 cubic yards were ex- cavated and placed on plastic in a stockpile in the yard. In October , 1992 Kenneth Brown of Brown Trucking contracted with H. B. Dietz & Associates to dispose of the contaminated soil . H . B. Dietz & Associates performed the work associated with evaluation of the soil and selection of the most cost ef- fective option for disposal . See attached resume . The field work was performed by Dietz Irrigation which is a licensed haz- ardous waste contractor . See the attached copy of the contrac- tors license . A composite soil sample of the stockpiled soil was taken on Oc- tober 2 , 1992 and submitted to CHROMALAB a State certified laboratory. The sample was analyzed for TPH - diesel and sub- sequently analyzed for BTX and E plus RCI in compliance with the requirements of the BFI Landfill on Vasco Road. The soil composite contained 190 ppm as diesel , non detect BTX and E and passed the RCI test . See the attached chain of custody and the laboratory results from CHROMALAB. A waste evaluation request (attached) was prepared and sub- mitted to BFI Waste Systems . The soil was approved by BFI for disposal at their Vasco Road facility and assigned a BFI waste code CA-405-110392-44001 .
