In addition, two soil profile borings were
drilled adjacent to the percolation test holes. The approximate locations at which
the percolation tests and soil profile borings were performed are shown on the
attached site sketch.
The soil profile borings were drilled on July 8, 1957, using a truck-mounted
drill rig with continuous flight auger. The test borings extended to depths of
approximately 10 feet below existing ground surface. The Logs of Test Borings
are presented on Plates H and III of this letter. All soils have been
classified according to the Unified Soil Classification System presented on
Plate I.
The percolation test holes were drilled and set-up on July 8, 1987, by a repre-
sentative of our firm. Approximate 36-inch deep borings were drilled and 4-inch
inside diameter slotted PVC pipe was inserted into the borings. The test holes were
then filled to the surface with relatively clean water and left to soak overnight.
The following day, July 9, 1987, a representative of our firm returned to the
site to perform the percolation tests. The tests were performed according to San
a •.
Joaquin County guidelines arta 'the last ,;C minutes o,.c each
gest was Observed by a
County Health Sanitarian. The percolation rates were measured at 60 and 40 minutes
per inch for tests 1 and 2, respectively. The county approved test sheet is attached
to this letter.
We trust this letter presents the information requested at this time.
