SECOR <br /> D (�'�' ,DED International Incorporated <br /> J AN 2 7 2003 <br /> January 17, 2003 ENV RORN1ENT HEALTH <br /> Project 77CH 43603 00 0203 pERMITISERVIGES <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Site Assessment Report <br /> Chevron Service Station 9-3232 <br /> 8660 Lower Sacramento Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of Chevron Environmental <br /> Management Company(Chevron) has prepared this letter to document the results of <br /> assessment activities at the above-referenced site (Figure 1) The site assessment <br /> activities consisted of the drilling and installation of seven wells a single shallow well <br /> and three nested pairs of groundwater monitoring wells (1 shallow and 1 deep) The <br /> purpose of this assessment was to further delineate the lateral extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons in groundwater beneath the site Results of slug tests that were performed <br /> at the site are also documented in this report <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> The site is an operating Chevron service station located at the southeast corner of Lower <br /> Sacramento Road and Ponce De Leon Avenue in Stockton, California Current station <br /> facilities include a station building, car wash, two product islands under a common <br /> canopy, and three gasoline underground storage tanks in a common excavation (Figure <br /> 2) Additional site investigation information pertinent to this assessment is summarized <br /> in Attachment A <br /> ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES AND FINDINGS <br /> On February 4 through 8, 2002, a SECOR representative supervised Gregg Drilling & <br /> Testing, Inc (Gregg) of Martinez, California, as they advanced seven soil borings Soil <br /> samples were continuously collected from the deeper wells and single shallow well to <br /> assess soil stratigraphy The soil boring locations are shown on Figure 2 The deeper <br /> soil bonngs were advanced to approximately 67 feet below ground surface (bgs), the <br /> { <br /> [IChevronM2321REP0RTSI9-3232 2 4-02 MW 5A doe <br /> 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Fax www secor com <br />
