Box 5155
San Ramon, California 94583
Attention: Mr. Ron Bock
RE: Quarterly Report
Former Unocal Service Station #5098
5606 Pacific Avenue
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Bock:
This report presents the results of the most recent quarter of
monitoring and sampling of the monitoring wells at the referenced
site by Kaprealian Engineering, Inc. (KEI) , per KEI ' s proposal
(KEI-P88--1013 .P2) dated August 23 , 1991, and as modified in KEI ' s
report (KEI-P88-1013 .R2) dated July 15, 1992 . The wells are
• currently monitored monthly and sampled on a quarterly basis. This
report covers the work performed by KEI from January through March
of 1993 .
BACKGROUND
The sub3ect site formerly contained a Unocal service station
facility and presently contains an office building. Extensive
excavation of contaminated soil was performed at the site in 1988 .
Five monitoring wells (four on-site, and one off-site) currently
exist at and in the vicinity of the site.
A site description, detailed background information including a
summary of all of the soil and ground water subsurface investiga-
tion/remediation work conducted to date, site hydrogeologic
conditions, and tables that summarize all of the soil and ground
water sample analytical results are presented in KEI ' s report (KEI-
P88-1013 .R2) dated July 15, 1992 .
RECENT FIELD ACTIVITIES
Four of the five existing monitoring wells (MW10 through MW13) were
monitored three times and were sampled once during the quarter.
Well MW6 was not monitored or sampled because the well has been dry
for the past three quarters. During monitoring, the wells were
checked for depth to water and the presence of free product. Prior
. to sampling, the wells were also checked for the presence of sheen.
No free product or sheen was noted in any of the wells during the
2401 Scannell Drive SUi[L 400
Concord California 94520
TL 1510 602 5100 Fax 510 687 0602
