(Stantec) on behalf of
7-Eleven, Inc., proposes the advancement of up to 12 soil borings to investigate soils at 7-Eleven
Store #39208, located at 25460 South Schulte Road, in Tracy, California (Figure 1).This work plan
was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD)
soil boring permit application process.
SCOPE OF WORK
Stantec proposes advancing up to 12 soil borings at the locations depicted on Figure 1 to a
maximum depth of 20 feet below ground surface (bgs) to establish baseline conditions prior to a
potential property purchase. The soil borings are located near the fuel dispensers and the
estimated location of the underground fuel lines.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
As required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard "Hazardous Waste
Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120), and by California
Occupational Safety and Health Administration "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency
Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8,Section 5192), Stantec will prepare a Site-Specific Health and
Safety Plan (HASP) prior to the commencement of all field work. The HASP will be reviewed by the
field staff and contractors before beginning field operations at the site.
PERMITTING AND UTILITY CLEARANCE
Prior to conducting the proposed work,Stantec will obtain the appropriate soil boring permits from
the SJCEHD. At least 48 hours prior to conducting subsurface work,Stantec will contact
Underground Service Alert to delineate subsurface utilities near the proposed soil boring locations
with surface markings. A private utility locator service will also be contracted to clear the areas
surrounding the proposed soil boring locations. Prior to drilling activities, each soil boring location
will be cleared to five feet bgs with a hand auger.
Design with community in mind
