Delta rl Ran 100 <br /> � �Mlfi� V� , j Rancho Cordova CA 95670 <br /> Env�roner�en#a[ 9161638-2085 <br /> Consultants,Inc FAX 916/638 8385 <br /> June 9, 1992 <br /> Mr Wade Broughton <br /> General Mills <br /> P O Box 3002 <br /> Lodi, CA 95241-1906 <br /> Subject Hydrogeologic Investigation or <br /> General Mills Facility <br /> 2000 West Turner Road <br /> Lodi, California <br /> Delta Project No 40-92-708 <br /> Dear Mr Broughton <br /> Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc (Delta), has been authorized by General Mills Incorporated, <br /> (General Mills) to conduct a hydrogeologic investigation and assessment of the former underground <br /> fuel ail tank location at the General Mills facility located at 2000 West Turner Road, Lodi, <br /> San Joaquin County, California The location of the site is shown in Figure 1 and site features are <br /> shown in Figure 2 <br /> Introduction <br /> This letter report summarizes drilling, soil sampling activities, the installation of ground water <br /> monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3, and the analytical results of soil and ground water <br /> samples collected on May 12 and 13, 1992 This field work was conducted at the site in accordance <br /> with the field methods and procedures presented in Enclosure A <br /> Sail Borine Results <br /> On May 12, 1992, three soil borings were advanced to 50 feet below the surface and completed as <br /> ground water monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 (Figure 3) Soil stratigraphy encountered <br /> beneath the site consists predominantly of poorly graded sand with gravel, clay, and silt, well graded <br /> sand with silt, and sandy lean clay Soil boring logs with descriptions of the stratigraphy <br /> encountered are included in Enclosure B <br /> Soil Sample Analytical Results <br /> Soil samples were collected at approximately 5-foot intervals during the course of drilling Soil <br /> samples were screened for the presence of organic vapors with an hNu photoionization detector <br /> (PID) No samples obtained from soil borings MW-1, MW-2, or MW-3 contained organic vapors <br /> when screened by the PID One sample from each boring collected from 35 feet below the surface, <br /> ,lust above the ground water table, was submitted to American Environmental Laboratories <br /> Corporation, a California-certified laboratory,for the analyses of total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH) <br /> as diesel fuel and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) Petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> Delta Delivers Solutions <br />
