(AGE)has prepared <br /> a vapor well installation plan for the above referenced site. The scope of work includes the installation of <br /> two shallow soil vapor monitoring well.Four wells were recently installed by AGE and samples collected <br /> have indicated high level of methane in two of the newly installed wells.The State Water Resources Control <br /> Board has required two additional wells be installed at the site to monitor soil vapor in the suspect area.The <br /> location of the landfill is depicted in Figure 1 -Location Map. <br /> Two wells should be installed 230 feet south of the current well network, located at the edge of the landfill <br /> boundary.The wells are depicted in Figure 2-Site Plan.Two soil borings will be advanced to approximately <br /> 18 feet utilizing a truck mounted,hollow stem drill rig and 8.25-inch hollow-stem augers.The soil borings <br /> will be completed as a one-inch diameter vapor monitoring wells in accordance with the well design in <br /> Figure 3 - Well Design. <br /> Upon approval of the work plan,we will schedule filed work with your office.
