All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is a large gap at the bottom of the enclosure, toward the northwest corner. Secured the large gap <br />immediately. <br />Secure and maintain pool free of hazards. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other <br />approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br />installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br />4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br />3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br />perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br />at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br />arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br />are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 3119B) <br /> #16 Water Clarity <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is a lot of green water in the pool. Unable to see the bottom of the pool from the deck. Remove or <br />treat the water immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.
