All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life ring lacks an attached throw rope. Attach a throw rope to the life ring immediately or face <br />closure. <br />Corrected on site: a throw rope was attached to the life ring. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH of the pool water is less than 7.0. Immediately increase the pH of the pool water to the range of <br />7.2 to 7.8 or face closure. <br />Corrected on site: pH UP was added. pH re-checked: 7.8 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Some safety signage is missing and some safety signage is faded. New safety signage is on site. Install <br />the new safety signage today and write in the capacity, the hours of operation, and the facility's address. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool filter flow differential is greater than 10 psi. This may indicate a dirty filter. Clean the pool filter <br />today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
