All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is below 3 ppm. Adjust to 3 ppm to 10 ppm. This was corrected on site. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa safety sign was lacking. Post the following near the spa: <br />A warning sign for spa pools shall be posted stating , "CAUTION" and shall include the following language in letters at least 1 <br />inch (25 mm) high: <br />-Elderly persons, pregnant women, infants and those with health conditions requiring medical care should consult with a <br />physician before entering the spa. <br />-Children should not use spa without adult supervision. <br />-Hot water immersion while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs or medicines may lead to serious consequences <br />and is not recommended. <br />-Do not use alone. <br />-Long exposure may result in hyperthermia, nausea, dizziness or fainting. <br />Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
