Water Boards <br />Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />California Regional Water‘QuaTfty Control Board, Central Valley Region (Central Valley <br />Water Board) staff reviewed the 25 April 2012 First Quarter 2012 Groundwater <br />Monitoring Report (Report) prepared by ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) on behalf of <br />the Chevron Environmental Management Company, for the Chevron Fuel Terminal <br />#1001621, 22888 Kasson Road in Banta (Site). The Report was submitted in <br />accordance with Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) No. R5-2007-0829 and <br />Clean Up and Abatement Order (CAO) No. R5-2002-0718. <br />The Report includes a summary of the First Quarter 2012 groundwater monitoring and <br />sampling data and requests modifications to the MRP. ARCADIS currently collects <br />groundwater from 83 wells onsite and offsite on a quarterly, semiannual, and annual <br />basis. ARCADIS recommends that monitoring wells currently on a quarterly sampling <br />schedule be sampled semiannually during the first and third quarters of each year. <br />They also recommend that off-site monitoring wells be sampled annually. <br />Central Valley Water Board staff prepared the attached draft MRP which incorporates <br />the requested changes to MRP No. R5-2007-0829. By 1 October 2012, please review <br />the attached draft MRP and provide comments.
