WELL DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY
Following well installations,each well will be developed to maximize water flow and minimize the
amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or bailing.After development,
the top of each well casing(well head)will be surveyed to determine its elevation relative to mean
sea level and global positioning system (GPS)coordinates, for submittal to the State of California
GeoTracker database. Procedures for well development and survey are presented in Section 3.1.2.
2.4. GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
All newly-installed wells will be incorporated into the ongoing quarterly ground water monitoring
program at the site. Ground water monitoring will include recording depth to ground water
measurements, properly purging ground water monitoring wells and collection of ground water
samples. Procedures for ground water sample collection are presented in Section 3.1.3.
Ground water monitoring well samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the
following constituents:
• TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified;
• BTEX in accordance with EPA Method 826013; and
• Fuel additives including DIPE, ETBE, MTBE, TAME, TBA, ethanol, methanol, EDB and
1,2-DCA in accordance with EPA Method 8260B.
Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods,laboratory quality assurance/quality
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
