Material: Apply one pretreatment coat of Tnemec Epoxoline II, Series <br /> N69-1211, to a dry film thickness of 3 mils; and two coats of semi-gloss, <br /> acrylic emulsion, Tnemec Tufcryl, Series 29; or equal. <br /> SECTION 11001 — GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EQUIPMENT <br /> PART 1 — GENERAL <br /> 1.01 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. The provisions of this Section are the general requirements for all of the <br /> Equipment and Mechanical work and wherever specifically required in these <br /> Specifications. <br /> B. The Contractor shall direct the attention of all subcontractors and suppliers of <br /> equipment and related appurtenances for the work to the applicable provisions in <br /> the Contract Documents wherever they may occur. <br /> C. Pipe, fittings, wiring and supports shall be provided to produce complete, <br /> operable systems with all elements properly interconnected as shown in <br /> schematic diagrams or to provide specified operations. If a specific dimensioned <br /> location is not shown for interconnections or smaller system elements, the <br /> Contractor shall select appropriate locations and show them on shop drawing <br /> submittals for review. <br /> D. Equipment and material shall be new and without imperfections and shall be <br /> erected in a neat and workmanlike manner; aligned, leveled, cleaned and <br /> adjusted for satisfactory operation; installed in accordance with the <br /> recommenclations of the manufacturers and the best standard practices for this <br /> type of work so that connecting and disconnecting of piping and accessories can <br /> be readily made and so that all parts are easily accessible for inspection, <br /> operation, maintenance and repair. Oil and lubrication fittings shall be located <br /> clear of and away from guards, base, and equipment and within reach from the <br /> operating floor. In order to meet these requirements with equipment as furnished, <br /> minor deviation from the Drawings may be made as favorably reviewed by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> 1.02 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Shop drawings shall be submitted to the Engineer and approved prior to <br /> fabrication, construction or delivery to the project site in accordance with the <br /> Section 01300, showing sizes and arrangement of equipment, foundations and <br /> anchor bolts required, performance characteristics, fan curves and pump curves, <br /> control diagrams, wiring diagrams, motor data sheets, methods of assembly, pipe <br /> hanging details, ductwork layouts and connections to other work. Drawings shall <br /> be dated and signed as certified for use in construction of this project. The <br /> arrangement of mechanical equipment and appurtenant piping shown on the <br /> drawings may be varied as necessary to fit the favorably reviewed certified <br /> manufacturer's installation drawings.
