CITY OF TRACY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> NOTICE INVITING BIDS <br /> SEALED BIDS will be received at the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 325 East 10th Street, Tracy, <br /> California, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday August 23, 2007 at which time they will be publicly opened <br /> and read, for performing work as follows: <br /> NORTHEAST INDUSTRIAL PHASE II WATER AND SEWER PROJECT <br /> CIP Nos. 7468, 7589, 7590 <br /> Plans and Specifications and Contract Documents are on file in the Office of the Director of <br /> Development & Engineering Services, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, where they may be <br /> examined. Copies of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained upon payment of $75.00 per set if <br /> picked up in person (or $90.00 per set IF MAILED), which is non-refundable. Any questions, call the <br /> Department of Development & Engineering Services at (209) 831-4625. <br /> No bid will be received unless it is made on a Bid Form furnished by the City. The proposal submitted <br /> shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Tracy, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California 95376, <br /> and shall be clearly marked as follows: <br /> "Contractor's Bid: NORTHEAST INDUSTRIAL PHASE II WATER AND SEWER PROJECT <br /> CIP Nos. 7468, 7589, 7590 <br /> Bid Opening: Thursday August 23, 2007 2:00 pm <br /> (Day) (Date) (Hour)" <br /> All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, or Bid Bond payable to <br /> the order of the City of Tracy amounting to not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid, as a guarantee <br /> that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will fulfill the terms of the bid. <br /> All bids are to be compared on the basis of the estimated quantities of work to be done. No bidder <br /> may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of opening the bids. The Agency <br /> reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in <br /> the bidding. <br /> The State Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has established the general prevailing <br /> rates of per diem wages and rates for overtime and legal holidays in the locality in which the work is to <br /> be performed. No less than said prevailing wages shall be paid for work on this project. <br /> Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 22300, and at the request and expense of the <br /> Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, approved securities shall be permitted in substitution for <br /> money withheld by the Agency to ensure performance under the Contract. <br /> July 2007 Division 1 -1 NEI Phase II Water and Sewer <br /> CIP Nos. 7468, 7589, 7590 <br />
