acknowledged by signatures of the bidder on the addenda and the signed addenda shall be <br /> attached and submitted with the bid. <br /> (p) Opening and Comparison of Bids: Bids will be opened and read at the time indicated in the — <br /> Notice Inviting Bids. <br /> (q) Construction Site: The Contractor shall confine his construction operations to the limits of — <br /> designated construction easements or street right-of-way. The Contractor shall, on his own <br /> initiative and at no cost to the City, make special arrangements with private property owners or <br /> public agencies for additional areas that may be needed for staging or storage of equipment. _ <br /> The Contractor will be required to furnish the City written releases from property owners or <br /> public agencies where side agreements or special easements have been secured by the <br /> Contractor or where the Contractor's operations, for any reasons, have not been contained _ <br /> within the right-of-way. <br /> At the end of each day the street shall be cleared of all material and equipment. Any damage — <br /> to property, either inside or outside the limits of construction, irrespective of being on public or <br /> private property, shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> The Contractor, at his own expense, shall provide and maintain enclosed toilets for the use of — <br /> employees engaged in the work. Those accommodations shall be maintained in neat and <br /> sanitary conditions. They shall also comply with all applicable laws, ordinances and <br /> regulations pertaining to public health and sanitation. Location of these enclosed toilets shall <br /> be away from the project site and must be approved by the Engineer. The Contractor is <br /> encouraged to locate these on private properties through separate agreements between the <br /> contractor and the property owners. <br /> The Contractor shall at his own expense furnish, install, repair, maintain and remove all <br /> temporary light, power and water, including piping, wiring, lamps and other equipment _ <br /> necessary for the work. <br /> Prior to final acceptance of the work, the Contractor shall thoroughly clean the premises, <br /> remove all temporary structures built during the project, and remove all equipment and surplus <br /> material from the area. All storage areas and temporary construction easement areas shall be <br /> returned to their original condition prior to beginning construction of the project. <br /> (r) Pre-Bid Conference: A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 14, <br /> 2007, in the East Conference Room, at the City of Tracy Development & Engineering Services <br /> Department, located at 520 Tracy Blvd. All prospective bidders are highly encouraged to <br /> attend this meeting although attendance is not mandatory. Questions and comments <br /> regarding the plans and specifications will be accepted only if received in writing before <br /> 1:00 p.m. on Monday August 20, 2007.
