• A Certificate of Compliance conforming to the provisions in Section 6-1.07, "Certificates of Compliance," shall be <br /> furnished to the Engineer, prior to placing minor concrete from a source not previously used on the contract, stating that <br /> minor concrete to be furnished meets contract requirements,including minimum cementitious material content specified. <br /> 90-10.04 CURING MINOR CONCRETE <br /> • Curing minor concrete shall conform to the provisions in Section 90-7,"Curing Concrete." <br /> 90-10.05 PROTECTING MINOR CONCRETE <br /> • Protecting minor concrete shall conform to the provisions in Section 90-8, "Protecting Concrete," except the <br /> concrete shall be maintained at a temperature of not less than 4°C for 72 hours after placing. <br /> 90-10.06 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> • Minor concrete will be measured and paid for in conformance with the provisions specified in the various sections <br /> of these specifications covering concrete construction when minor concrete is specified in the specifications, shown on the <br /> plans,or indicated by contract item in the Engineer's Estimate. <br /> 90-11 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> 90-11.01 MEASUREMENT <br /> • Portland cement concrete will be measured in conformance with the provisions specified in the various sections of <br /> these specifications covering construction requiring concrete. <br /> • For concrete measured at the mixer,the volume in cubic meters shall be computed as the total mass of the batch in <br /> kilograms divided by the density of the concrete in kilograms per cubic meter. The total mass of the batch shall be calculated <br /> as the sum of all materials, including water, entering the batch. The density of the concrete will be determined in <br /> conformance with the requirements in California Test 518. <br /> 90-11.02 PAYMENT <br /> • Portland cement concrete will be paid for in conformance with the provisions specified in the various sections of <br /> these specifications covering construction requiring concrete. <br /> • Full compensation for furnishing and incorporating admixtures required by these specifications or the special <br /> provisions will be considered as included in the contract prices paid for the concrete involved and no additional compensation <br /> will be allowed therefor. <br /> • Should the Engineer order the Contractor to incorporate any admixtures in the concrete when their use is not <br /> required by these specifications or the special provisions, furnishing the admixtures and adding them to the concrete will be <br /> paid for as extra work as provided in Section 4-1.03D,"Extra Work." <br /> • Should the Contractor use admixtures in conformance with the provisions in Section 90-4.05, "Optional Use of <br /> Chemical Admixtures," or Section 904.07, "Optional Use of Air-entraining Admixtures," or should the Contractor request <br /> and obtain permission to use other admixtures for the Contractor's benefit,the Contractor shall furnish those admixtures and <br /> incorporate them into the concrete at the Contractor's expense and no additional compensation will be allowed therefor. <br /> SECTION 91: PAINT <br /> Issue Date: November 18,2005 <br /> Section 91-3, 'Taints for Timber,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: <br /> 91-3 PAINTS FOR TIMBER <br /> 91-3.01 WOOD PRIMER,LATEX-BASE <br /> Classification: <br /> • This specification covers a ready-mixed priming paint for use on unpainted wood or exterior woodwork.
