Traffic Control Plan <br /> Woodbridge Irrigation District <br /> Replace Curb with Kneel Down Curb <br /> Project Description: Replace a standard stepped curb with a kneel down curb <br /> including saw cutting and removing a part of the side walk. The District will begin the <br /> work starting on December 3, 2007 and completed no later than December 7, 2007. <br /> Traffic Cones and Signage: <br /> Large orange traffic cones will be placed 25- 30 feet apart along the shoulder of the <br /> road delineating the work area with signage large 3 X 3 orange colored signage <br /> designating this as a construction area starting approximately 200 feet south of work area. <br /> A large sign at the end of the work area will placed on the north end of the bridge <br /> approximately 100 feet north of the work area. The work area consists of the side walk <br /> area, the pan of the existing sidewalk and curb. The solid lane line is approximately 6 <br /> feet from the existing curb. All equipment will be kept back of the side walk area and <br /> will not be in the traffic lane. <br /> Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) <br /> "Vehicles" <br /> No lane closures are needed for work periods, at the end of each work period, <br /> components of the traffic control system, including traffic cones and men working signs <br /> placed along open sidewalk area and adjacent to the traveled way, shall be removed from <br /> the traveled way and shoulder. Woodbridge will not store any of the components within <br /> the limits of the highway right of way. <br /> Pedestrian and Bicycle Traffic Utilizing Side Walk Area and Road Shoulder <br /> The District will use plating to cover the sidewalk section that is to be removed <br /> during non-construction periods. The District will provide a pedestrian escort and <br /> provide positive guidance to move pedestrian and bicycle traffic safely around the site. <br /> Coordination with other Jurisdiction Agencies. <br /> The District will notify the San Joaquin County Highway Department and Public <br /> Works Permitting and Encroachment Department 72 hours prior to the start of work and <br /> immediately after the work is completed. <br />
