Mr. Scott Cooper November 21, 2007
San Joaquin County
Department of Public Works
Encroachment Permits
P.O. Box 1810
Stockton, CA 95201
Hello, Scott.
We had spoken a few weeks ago regarding this encroachment permit.
We are submitting the preliminary plans for work to be performed at the intersection of
State Route 88 and Locke Road. The work pertinent to this permit application will be on
the south shoulder of Locke Rd., within County right of way, at the intersection of
Highway 88 in Lockeford.
The following work will be performed on the south side of Locke Rd.: Saw cut - 150'
AC pavement at existing edge of traveled way (inside the "fog line", approximately 1'
from EP), excavate for widening taper, and replace with 0.55'AC/0.65' AB structural
section.
This widening will better accommodate truck off-tracking while turning from Locke Rd.
westbound onto the highway. The existing power pole will be relocated by PG&E;
relocation plans are pending.
Also included are the standard traffic control system plans for our closures, along with
our lane closure chart for the highway. If the County has specific lane closure times for
Locke Rd. that you would like included, please let us know.
It will be easiest to contact me by email at: KimPuccinelli@dot.ca.gov
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Kimberli M.
