CALIFORNIA WATER SERVICE COMPANY STOCKTON DISTRICT
M 1550 W. FREMONT ST. •SUITE 100 • STOCKTON, CA 95203-2660
'ff sr (209(547-79C0 • FAX (209 466-6155
July 17, 2008
Dear Customer:
This letter is to inform you that California Water Service Company (Cal Water) is planning to
begin a water system improvement project in your neighborhood during the month of July, 2008.
This project will take approximately four to six weeks to complete.
The purpose of this project is to install a new 8" water main in the north side of Washington
Street from Coolidge Avenue to Walker Lane. Upon completion, the new facilities will improve
water service throughout the area.
Carl Crutchfield Construction Company Inc. will be performing the underground construction
work under the supervision of Cal Water. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday between
7:00 a.m.and 4:00 p.m.
Minor disruptions in water service during construction will be necessary to connect the new water
mains to the existing water mains. One to two days notice, whenever possible, will be provided
prior to any service interruption.
There will be significant trenching for this project to install facilities. Trenches will be filled
daily and temporary asphalt applied for safety and traffic concerns. Permanent paving of trenches
will take place upon project completion.
Also included in a project of this nature are re-connecting and/or installation of new service lines
from the water main to the water meter. To do this, it sometimes becomes necessary to work in
the front yard of those residences involved. Occasionally this work involves trimming bushes;
disturbing lawn areas around meter boxes; altering landscaping, etc. in order to complete the
project. Whenever this occurs, every effort will be made to leave yard areas as close to"original"
as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this project or would like any further information
about this project, you can contact me at(209)464-8311. Also, if your property has a well onsite
we would like to know before we begin our project. Thank you in advance for your cooperation
and patience.
Sincerely,
PW
Bret Dahlen
Construction Superintendent
Stockton District
DISTRICT OFFICES: ANTELOPE.
