Work plan for Additiona/Groundwater Assessment
Former Chevron Service Station 94054
March 19, 2010
respect to the California Coordinate System, and lafitude and longitude in degrees, minutes,
and seconds.
3.7 WASTE DISPOSAL
All soil cuttings, drilling fluids, purge;water, decontamination water and personal protective
equipment (PPE) generated during drilling operations will be containerized in Department of
Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums and temporarily stored on the subject property
pending characterization and disposal. Upon characterization, wastes will be transported by
Chevron's disposal contractor town appropriate disposal or treatment facility.
3.8 INTERIM REMEDIAL ACTIONS
Dissolved oxygen (D.O.) and oxygen reduction potential (ORP) readings are indicative of fairly
anaerobic and reducing conditions onsite returning to aerobic conditions offsite. To substantiate
these field measurements ARCADIS proposes the collection of the following bioparameter data
during the next two semi-annual groundwater monitoring events prior to the submittal of an
interim remedial action plan (TRAP).
• Sulfate and Nitrate by USEPA Method 300.0
• Total and dissolved iron and manganese by USEPA 6000/7000 series method
• Methane by USEPA Method 8015B Modified
4.0 REPORTING
A report will be prepared to document the results of site assessment activities. This report will
include at a minimum the following:
• Summary of site conditions and background information
• A scaled site plan illustrating the groundwater monitoring well locations and other
relevant site features
• Documentation of field activities performed in connection with the site assessment
• Geologic boring logs and concentration figures
• Geologic cross-section
• Conclusions relevant to the assessment objectives
\.CA5FP\DataWprogectNENV\CHEVRON\94054\6 DeliverablesMork Plans\2010\Temp\Work Plan for Site Assessment_,4821010950.doc 6
