This pump station is a terminal storm water collection facility
collecting and conveying storm water out of the Country Club Area into the Calaveras River.
Currently this facility is inoperable in its current state and must be repaired prior to the upcoming
rainy season.
Th-e pipe replacement is necessary to maintain the structural integrity of the Federal
Project Levee along the Calaveras River and to prevent additional levee slope erosion and
degradation. It is also necessary to maintain safe traffic access along the County road system.
Robert Burns Construction, Inc., hired as the District's contractor, is submitting; under a
separate Graver four sets of drawings, a project schedule and a revised traffic plan. Under his
contract with the District, he is responsible for restoring the levee system to State and Federal
standards. He is also responsible for restoring the County road back to your standards and
maintaining traffic control.
For your information we are enclosing the following:
• District's Resolution for Declaration of Emergency Regarding Pump Stations.
• San Joaquin County letter dated December 20, 2010 to Central Valley Flood
Protection Board (CVFPB) for the District's Permit Application.
• CVFPB approved Encroachment Permit.
