DELTA WATER SUPPLY PROJECT—PERMANENT ENTRANCE VS TEMPORARY ENTRANCE TRANSITION AND
TRAFFIC EXPLANATION FROM CITY OF STOCKTON 10-7-2011
The following summarizes the remaining months of construction, with an estimate on the amount of travel to and
from the project that will use the various entrances. As well,it provides an estimate of when we currently
anticipate CDM will remove the temporary construction entrance and restore that area.
• October 1='-November 1111: Regular construction traffic and activities continue, but begin to wind down
near the end. A significant amount of incoming traffic between the hours of 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM and
exiting traffic between 3:30 and 6:00 PM (Estimate of anywhere from 75 to 150 employees on a daily
basis, most traffic between 6:30-7 AM and at 3:30 PM). Basically, similar to the construction period to
date. During this time CDM expects frequent construction deliveries and traffic to be sporadic
throughout the day.
• November 14t1-December 1s': Construction activities will be winding down with a lot of the
subcontractors backing off on their labor forces, and daily deliveries becoming less and less frequent
(Estimate of somewhere between 35-60 employees with the same timeframe of incoming and outgoing
traffic patterns).
• December 1"-Febuary 1511: Construction activities will be limited to small punch list items, and CDM's
construction management staff. This will take the incoming and exiting traffic down significantly and the
construction deliveries down to almost nothing. City personnel will begin using the main
(north)construction entrance to gain access to the Administration Building from this point through the
end of the project.
• February 1th-March 311t: Startup activities for the project as a whole ramp up,with an increase in CDM's
onsite management and field labor to assist with startup. CDM's estimate on traffic during this period is
between 30 to 40 construction vehicles coming in and out. Delivery vehicles supporting startup and
operations will use the south service entrance.
• April 1": Construction activities are essentially over. The temporary construction entrance will be
removed, and all traffic will use the main entrance roads. City staff and visitors will use the main
(north)entrance road;deliveries and any remaining construction vehicle trips will use the south service
entrance.
If there are significant changes to this schedule in the future,CDM will notify the City,so that they can inform the
County of such changes.
