Special Conditions for -2- <br /> ENCROACHMENT PERMIT <br /> 13. Temporary pavement shall be provided for all trench areas within three days of pavement <br /> removal or by Friday of each week, whichever is more restrictive. <br /> 14. Final trench paving shall be placed when the length of temporarily surfaced trench exceeds 1,500 <br /> linear feet or by segment of road as determined by the County. Final trench paving will also be <br /> required to be placed when interruptions or delays of the work exceed two (2) weeks. <br /> 15. The sandy soil in this area is likely to "run out" underneath the pavement with the trench so close <br /> to the edge of pavement. If this happens, pavement shall be removed to fog line adjacent to the <br /> trench and paved back. This would also require restriping. Resurface trench area with a <br /> minimum 0.25' of base rock. <br /> 16. No paving joints allowed within paved shoulder, contractor shall pave all the way to outer edge of <br /> paved shoulder. <br /> 17. Contractor shall establish existing roadway and drainage grades within the construction area. <br /> Any repair to roadways and adjacent areas shall match existing grades. Any proposed grade <br /> changes shall receive prior approval from County. <br /> 18. Shoulder backing shall be backed with Class II Aggregate Base from edge of pavement a <br /> minimum of 4-inches thick by 6-foot wide. <br /> 19. School buses shall be passed through the work zone with minimal delays. <br /> 20. County roads shall be kept clean from mud and debris at all times along the access points and <br /> work zone areas during entire project. All standard roadway striping and signage shall be clearly <br /> visible, maintained and restored throughout the construction zone during and after the project. <br /> 21. In addition to standard dust control measures, streets shall be maintained in a clean condition, <br /> free of dirt, mud and debris during construction activities. The contractor shall provide daily, or as <br /> needed, street sweeping using a modern mechanical or vacuum-assisted street sweeper. <br /> 22. The contractor shall not conduct construction operations in rain or heavy fog conditions. <br />
