Anticipate varying layers of existing material, including paving fabric and base materials <br />within the limits of Planing Roadway Surfacing. <br />3. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has <br />been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain <br />in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor <br />must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all <br />facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hours notice to the County. All <br />testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />8. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction and <br />completion of the project, and must perform all work in accordance with the requirements <br />and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. <br />9. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway <br />and utility facilities are within the Planing Roadway Surfacing and Pavement <br />Repair limits. All work near the RR tracks will be performed in coordination with Union Pacific Railroad <br />(UPRR) and under the guidance of a UPRR—provided flagman. Refer to Section 5-1.02C, <br />"Railroad Relations," of the Special Provisions, <br />11. Except as shown on Plan Sheet No. 6, new Traffic Stripes, Pavement Markings and Pavement <br />Markers must be installed in accordance with Section 8413, "Traffic Stripes and Pavement <br />Markings," of the Special Provisions and per the applicable details of the CA MUTCD and <br />Caltrans Standard Plans. <br />12. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, <br />control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear <br />all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary OFESS/ <br />loss or disturbance. <br />13.
