Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. 2. Core data is unavailable; however, anticipate varying layers of base and roadway surfacing materials within the sectional planing depth of the existing roadway surface. 3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving has been completed. 4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. 8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour prior notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. 9. Prior to commencing any work, it will be the Contractor's responsibility to have each utility company locate in the field their main service lines and laterals. The Contractor must notify members if the Underground Service Alert (U.S.A.) 48 hours in advance of performing excavation work by calling the toll free number (1-800-642-2444) or 811 . 10. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 11. The Contractor must field verify all existing highway and utility facilities' locations and depths. It will be the Contractor's sole responsibility to locate and protect all existing highway and utility facilities, so that no damage results to them during the performance of this contract. The Contractor will be required to cooperate with other contractors and utilities and services to the project. Payment for this work will be considered to be included in the various items of work.
