T <br />A <br />GENERAL NOTES: <br />1. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />2. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must <br />remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />3. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing <br />of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour prior <br />notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All <br />re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />4. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from Caltrans and Cities of <br />Lodi, Manteca, Stockton, and Tracy and other agencies necessary for traffic control <br />or any work outside of the County's jurisdiction. Payment for this will be <br />considered to be included in the various items of work. <br />5. The Contractor must enter into an Agreement with the Central California Traction <br />Company Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad for any work within the Railroad's <br />right--of—way. See Section 5-1.20C, "Railroad Relations" of the Specifications for <br />further details. <br />6. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction <br />and completion of the project, and must perform all work in accordance with the <br />requirements and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. <br />7. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench <br />marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all <br />expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or <br />dict, irhnnr sz <br />8. Areas in County right—of—way used by Contractor for staging and/or storage of <br />materials will be approved by the Engineer. The areas utilized by the Contractor for <br />staging and/or storage area must be restored to their original condition. Any <br />damages or unclean conditions to staging or storage areas must be repaired or <br />cleaned at the Contractor's own expense. It will be the Contractor's responsibility <br />to obtain permission from the property owner to stage equipment or store <br />materials on private property. The Contractor must provide a letter of release from <br />the property owner of the areas utilized for staging and/or storage of materials. <br />9. Placement of "No Parking" signs/barricades must be placed no less than 72 hours <br />prior to work. <br />10.
