Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in place for minimum of 18 hours. 3. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 4. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 6. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hours notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. 7. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 8. Hand grinding of roadway surfacing will be required at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Cold Plane Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Roadway Surfacing. 9. Contact Road Maintenance at (209) 468-3074 and the Engineer at least 48 hours in advance of delivering planed/removed roadway material. See Appendix of specifications for delivery location/site map. 10. All HMA used on the mainline and driveway conforms must be formulated using PG 70-10 asphalt binder. Hot Mix Asphalt dikes may use PG 64-10 asphalt binder.
