Placement of <br />HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />2. Core data is unavailable; however, anticipate varying layers of base and roadway surfacing materials within the sectional planing depth of the existing roadway surface. <br />3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the <br />final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour prior notice to the County. <br />All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />9. Prior to commencing any work, it will be the Contractor's responsibility to call 811 and have each utility company locate in the field their main service lines and laterals. The <br />Contractor must notify members of the Underground Service Alert (U.S.A.) 48 hours in advance of performing excavation work by calling the tall free number (1-800-624-2444). <br />¢� D 10. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for <br />m replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />11. The Contractor must field verify all existing highway and utility facilities' locations and depths. It will be the Contractor's sole responsibility to locate and protect all existing <br />highway and utility facilities, so that no damage results to them during the performance of this contract. The Contractor will be required to cooperate with other <br />contractors and utilities and services to the project.
