Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise stated. 4. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 6. The Contractor must be responsible for adequately scheduling the inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hours notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid for by the Contractor. 7. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the California Department of Transportation and City of Stockton for traffic control or any work within these agencies' jurisdiction. Full compensation must be considered to be included in the contract price for various items of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. 8. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing Roadway Surfacing limits. Full compensation for hand grinding must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Roadway Surfacing item of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. 9. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 10. Existing AC Dikes to be Fog Sealed will be determined by the Engineer. Full Compensation must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Asphaltic Emulsion Fog Seal Coat item of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. Fog Seal must be applied after Crack Seal and placing of HMA on mainline are completed. Fog Seal surface preparation work must be as directed by the Engineer. 12. The Contractor must perform street sweeping throughout the duration of the Fog Seal operations of the project per the specifications. Full compensation for sweeping operations must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Asphaltic Emulsion Fog Seal Coat item of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. 13. Areas in County right—of—way used by Contractor for staging and/or storage of materials will be approved by the Engineer. The areas utilized by the Contractor for staging and/or storage area must be restored to their original condition. Any damages or unclean conditions to staging and/or storage areas must be repaired at the Contractor's own expense. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to obtain permission from the property owner to stage equipment or store materials on private property. The Contractor must provide a letter of release from the property owner of the areas utilized for staging and/or storage of materials. 14. Placement of "No Parking" signs/barricades must be placed no less than 72 hours prior to work. 15. Special Note: The HMA used in the following locations must be formulated using PG70-10 asphalt binder.
