Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise stated. <br />4. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in <br />place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor <br />must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />6. The Contractor must be responsible for adequately scheduling the inspection and testing of <br />all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hours notice to the <br />County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be <br />paid for by the Contractor. <br />7. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the California Department of <br />Transportation and City of Stockton for traffic control or any work within these agencies' <br />jurisdiction. Full compensation must be considered to be included in the contract price <br />for various items of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. <br />8. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway and <br />utility facilities are within the Planing Roadway Surfacing limits. Full compensation for hand <br />grinding must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing <br />Roadway Surfacing item of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. <br />9. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, <br />control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for <br />replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />10. Existing AC Dikes to be Fog Sealed will be determined by the Engineer. Fog Seal must be applied after Crack Seal and placing of HMA on mainline are completed. <br />Fog Seal surface preparation work must be as directed by the Engineer. <br />12. The Contractor must perform street sweeping throughout the duration of the Fog Seal <br />operations of the project per the specifications. Full compensation for sweeping operations <br />must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Asphaltic Emulsion Fog <br />Seal Coat item of work and no separate payment will be made therefor. <br />13. Areas in County right—of—way used by Contractor for staging and/or storage of materials <br />will be approved by the Engineer. The areas utilized by the Contractor for staging and/or <br />storage area must be restored to their original condition. Any damages or unclean <br />conditions to staging and/or storage areas must be repaired at the Contractor's own <br />expense. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to obtain permission from the property <br />owner to stage equipment or store materials on private property. The Contractor must <br />provide a letter of release from the property owner of the areas utilized for staging <br />and/or storage of materials. <br />14. Placement of "No Parking" signs/barricades must be placed no less than 72 hours prior <br />to work. <br />15.
