WOODBRIDGE ROAD ITT TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN-03/23/2011 <br /> PARKING: Attendants in orange shirts will show riders the designated <br /> parking areas; first along the east side of Van Exel Road, and after that fills <br /> the west side of Thornton Road. One attendant will be at Van Exel corner, <br /> the other at Thornton Road. Each will hold yellow caution signs.The riders <br /> will be asked to park beyond the fog line. Two orange signs which state <br /> "Bicycle Event Ahead" will be posted on Thornton Road about % mile south <br /> and north of Woodbridge Road. <br /> REGISTRATION: Two tables and chairs will be set up on the east side on <br /> Van Exel Road to distribute numbers and pins, and to complete release <br /> forms. A sandwich board will be by the tables to post start times, a map of <br /> the course, and finish times. Another sandwich board at the corner of Van <br /> Exel and Woodbridge will say"Bike Registration and Results" w/arrow. <br /> ON THE COURSE: The chief Referee and"whip" will stage the riders <br /> single file for their staggered start every 60 seconds. Orange traffic cones <br /> will be lined up where the riders wait. The start line will consist of white <br /> duct tape. The chief Judge and asst judge will be west of them seated at a <br /> table at the finish line, also consisting of white duct tape. There will be a <br /> number caller—100 yards west of the finish with a yellow caution sign m <br /> hand, and traffic cones on both sides of the road. Under the I-5 overpass will <br /> be an orange sign stating CAUTION with a bike icon and another one '1/2 <br /> mile from the finish. At the turn around (marked by an orange cone with a <br /> blinking light on it) two event workers in orange shirts will be transcribing <br /> numbers and phone in any concerns or occurrences to registration. <br /> A week prior to the event PACERS will have a white sandwich board along <br /> Thornton road and-one-at Van Exel corner stating: Bicycle Event Held on. <br /> March 21°, 2015 on WoodBridge Road from 6:30 am to 11:30 am.
