Work shall be performed tospecifications written in accordance with themost current version of the ANSI A300standards and to the following specifications.Specifications for pruning are required andshall be verbal or written, developed andadministered by a certified arborist for allwork performed. A300: When pruning to alateral, the remaining lateral branch shouldbe large enough to assume the terminal role.BMPs: the remaining branch should be atleast ⅓ to ½ the diameter of the portionremoved. Keep reduction cuts small (1 to 4inches in diameter-not always possible).A300: When removing a dead branch, thefinal cut shall be made just outside the collarof living tissue.
