Anticipate varying layers of existing material, including paving fabric and base materials within the limits of Cold Plane Pavement. 3. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. 4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. 8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24—hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. 9. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Cold Plane Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Cold Plane Pavement. 10. All Pavement Markings and Pavement Markers must be installed in accordance with Section 84B, "Traffic Stripes and Pavement Markings," of the Special Provisions and per the applicable details of the CA MUTCD and Caltrans Standard Plans. 11. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 12. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses Of ESS/ required for the construction and completion of the T project, and must perform all work in accordance ��1 �, with the requirements and conditions of all permits No. 83958 and approvals applicable to the project. 13.
