Anticipate varying layers of existing material, including paving fabric and <br />base materials within the limits of Cold Plane Pavement. <br />3. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in <br />Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless <br />otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements <br />must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify <br />or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed <br />prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing <br />material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of HMA surfacing. <br />Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder <br />Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and <br />testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum <br />24—hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard <br />Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />9. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing <br />highway and utility facilities are within the Cold Plane Pavement and <br />Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding must be considered as <br />included in the contract unit price paid for Cold Plane Pavement. <br />10. All Pavement Markings and Pavement Markers must be installed in <br />accordance with Section 84B, "Traffic Stripes and Pavement Markings," <br />of the Special Provisions and per the applicable details of the CA MUTCD <br />and Caltrans Standard Plans. <br />11. <br />The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey <br />bench marks, control points, reference points and all <br />survey stakes, and <br />must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors <br />caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />12. <br />The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses <br />Of ESS/ <br />required for the construction and completion of the <br />T <br />project, and must perform all work in accordance <br />��1 <br />�, <br />with the requirements and conditions of all permits <br />No. 83958 <br />and approvals applicable to the project. <br />13. <br />Apply Asphaltic Emulsion (Fog Seal Coat) to all <br />q �Q <br />01 <br />of the existing paved shoulder areas from <br />OF <br />Sta -i-! +BEt- to Sta 77+39 (Lt & Rt). <br />_ <br />14. <br />Specht N' te: <br />All HMA used in this project must be <br />formulated using PG 70-10 asphaltic binder. <br />Awni Taha <br />RCE 83958 <br />AIRPORT WAY RESURFACING Sheet No. <br />Roth Road to French Camp Road) 1 2 of 5 <br />
