Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />2. 0.60' and 0.50' Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must be placed in three (3) layers of approximate equal thickness. <br />3. All existing trees, shrubs, fences, concrete walks and other frontage improvements are to remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />Payment for removal of trees, shrubs and fences noted in plans must be considered as paid under Clearing and Grubbing. <br />4. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing at all facilities constructed under this contract with a <br />minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specification. All re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />5. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction and completion of the project, and must perform all work <br />in accordance with the requirements and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. <br />6. Railroad Note. The Contractor must enter into an Agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad for any work within the Railroad's right-of-way. <br />See SECTION 5-1.20C Railroad Relations of the Specifications for further details. <br />7. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, <br />and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />8. Prior to commencing any work, it will be the Contractor's responsibility to have each utility company locate in the field their main service <br />lines and laterals. The Contractor must notify members of the Underground Services Alert (U.S.A.) 48 hours in advance of performing <br />excavation work by calling the toll-free number (1-800-227-2600 or 81 1) <br />10. The Contractor must field verify all existing highway and utilities facilities' locations and depths. It will be the Contractors' sole responsibility to <br />locate and protect all existing highway and utility facilities, so that no damage results to them during the performance of this contract. The <br />Contractor will be required to cooperate with other contractors and utility companies installing new structures, utilities and services to the project <br />Payment for this work will be considered to be included in the various items of work. <br />11. The Contractor must place temporary ramps to affected residents' driveways at the end of each working day if a drop off greater than 0.15' <br />exists. Ramp materials must be consistent with that of the roadbed (or roadway) surface that it is to be placed upon. Payment for this work will <br />be considered as included in the various items of work. <br />12. Contractor will remove, salvage, haul and stockpile the existing bridge approach MBGR, wood posts, and old signs at the County's Corporation <br />Yard located at 1810 East Hazelton Ave, Stockton, California. Contractor will call San Joaquin Road Maintenance at (209) 468-3074 (48) hours <br />prior to delivering salvaged materials. <br />13. Fabricated pipe support brackets, Balanced Flexible Expansion Joints, Air Release Valve, couples and welded elbows used for the installation of <br />the water line attached to the bridge, must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for the 8"0 DIP pipe. <br />14. Concrete encasement at the water main line (10 sections), must be included in the contract unit price paid for the 8"0 Plastic Pipe (AWWA C-900) <br />15.
