Placement of Asphalt Concrete overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in Pavement Repair has been in place for 18 hours. 2. 0.25' Asphalt Concrete overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate equal thickness with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on existing or prepared surface. 3. Placement of all Asphalt Concrete Driveways shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used for Mainline Paving has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. 4. Where Superelevations exist on horizontal curves, the new surface slope and drainage shall match existing. 5. All earthwork (except for final shoulder grading) shall be completed prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete. No Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing, Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0,30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in two (2) fully compacted layers of approximate equal thickness. 6. Existing highway and utility facilities, including roadside signs, trees, shrubs, fences, utility poles and other frontage improvements shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. 7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon per square yard, Limits of Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. 8. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing shall be paid for by the Contractor. 9. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage, unless otherwise noted. N® SCALE 10. Clean existing ditch between Stations 170+80 and 172+80 (Right). Payment shall be included in the Cleaning Existing Drainage Facilities pay item. 11. Cost for the removal and disposal Asphalt Concrete surface and Overside Drain shall be included in the Clearing and Grubbing pay item. 12. Existing culverts and cross drain pipes shall be cleaned by the Contractor at the following 22 locations (not every location Is shown on Plans) : • Station 73+42 (Culvert) • Station 170+85 (24" diameter pipe arch) • Station 102+20 (24" diameter pipe) • Station 176+81 (culvert) • Station 108+65 (Culvert) • Station 184+02 (culvert) • Station 115+43 (Culvert) • Station 185+92 (culvert) • Station 118+00 (24" diameter pipe) • Station 190+75 (culvert) • Station 121+00 (24" diameter pipe) • Station 192+08 (18" diameter pipe arch) • Station 126+30 (Culvert) • Station 192+64 (18" diameter pipe arch) • Station 135+40 (Culvert) • Station 196+36, 26' Right (culvert) • Station 148+45 (18" diameter pipe) • Station 201+72 (culvert) • Station 152+80 (18" diameter pipe) • Station 204+66 (culvert) • Station 162+83 (24" diameter pipe arch) • Station 215+86 (culvert) 13.
