Placement of Asphalt Concrete overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in <br />Pavement Repair has been in place for 18 hours. <br />2. 0.25' Asphalt Concrete overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate equal thickness <br />with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on existing or prepared surface. <br />3. Placement of all Asphalt Concrete Driveways shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used for <br />Mainline Paving has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. Where Superelevations exist on horizontal curves, the new surface slope and drainage shall <br />match existing. <br />5. All earthwork (except for final shoulder grading) shall be completed prior to placing final layer of <br />Asphalt Concrete. No Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Asphalt <br />Concrete surfacing, Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0,30' in thickness, the Shoulder <br />Backing shall be placed in two (2) fully compacted layers of approximate equal thickness. <br />6. Existing highway and utility facilities, including roadside signs, trees, shrubs, fences, utility poles <br />and other frontage improvements shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive Penetration Treatment at <br />0.25 gallon per square yard, Limits of Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to <br />intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. <br />8. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all <br />facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the Standard Specifications. <br />All re -testing shall be paid for by the Contractor. <br />9. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing <br />drainage, unless otherwise noted. <br />N® SCALE <br />10. Clean existing ditch between Stations 170+80 and 172+80 (Right). Payment shall be included in the <br />Cleaning Existing Drainage Facilities pay item. <br />11. Cost for the removal and disposal Asphalt Concrete surface and Overside Drain shall be included in <br />the Clearing and Grubbing pay item. <br />12.
