Existing drainage facilities must remain in place, unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on <br />the final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />8. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/SQYD. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty <br />feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. <br />9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling the inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing <br />must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />10. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the State of California for traffic control or any work within the State's jurisdiction. Payment for this will be considered to be included in the <br />various items of work. <br />11. The Contractor must enter into an agreement with the California Central Traction Company Railroad for any work within the Railroad's right—of—way.
