Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. 8. Shoulder Backing or native material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. 9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. 10. The Contractor must notify the City of Stockton at (209) 937-5658 72 hours in advance of adjusting the City's facilities to finished grade. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction and completion of the project, and must perform all work in accordance with the requirements and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. 12. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required next to the lip of gutter and at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement. 13. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 14. Recompact existing road aggregate base or native if disturbed during Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement Operations to 95% relative compaction. Payment for recompaction will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement.
