GENERAL NOTES <br />1. Prior to commencing any work, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to <br />have each utility company locate in the field their main and service lines. The <br />Contractor shall notify the members of the Underground Service Alert (U.S.A.) <br />48 hours in advance of performing excavation work and/or sign relocation <br />work by calling the told—free number 1-800-227-2600 or 811. <br />2. Thee area above the <br />natural <br />ground surface <br />shall be cleared of <br />all vegetation such as <br />brush, grass, weeds <br />and other <br />objectionable <br />material including <br />discarded asphalt <br />concrete, within the <br />right—of—way <br />project area <br />and ditches. <br />3. Ala earthwork, except for the final layer of Shoulder Backing, shall be completed prior to <br />placing the final layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. No Shoulder Backing shalt be <br />deposited or drifted onto the final layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. <br />9. <br />4. All Pavement Repair must be completed 18 hours prior to placement of Asphalt <br />Concrete surfacing. <br />5. Asphalt Concrete used to construct apron surrounding the s#orm drain inlets shall be <br />paid under the Asphalt Concrete (Type B) item of work. <br />COUNTY OF SAN dOAQUIN <br />DRAWN BY <br />Ryan Yamada <br />6. The Asphalt Concrete (Type B) (0.25 <br />resurfacing) shall <br />be placed in two <br />(2) layers of <br />approximately equal thickness <br />with <br />Pavement Reinforcing <br />Fabric placed on <br />existing or <br />prepared surface. <br />7. The Contractor shall conduct# the Shoulder Backing operations so as not to disturb or <br />obstruct any existing drainage. <br />8. After sufficient drying, the Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive <br />Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment <br />work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to <br />the intersection conform at a 4' width. <br />Plane Survey Monument Frame and Cover at the location listed on Summary of <br />Quantities sheet. <br />10.
