PN <br />1. 0.25' HMA Overlay must be placed in two (2) layers of approximately equal thickness with Geosynthetic Pavement Interlayer (Paving Fabric) placed between the layers. <br />2. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the <br />final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All <br />testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />9. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the State of California for traffic control or any work within the State's jurisdiction. Payment for this will be considered to be <br />included in the various items of work. <br />10. Shoulder Backing material at all intersections radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to <br />intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. <br />11.
