Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must not begin until the Hot Mix <br />Asphalt used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Driveways must not begin until the Hot Mix <br />Asphalt used for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />5. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise <br />noted. <br />6. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements <br />must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />7. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place, unless otherwise noted. The <br />Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or <br />obstruct the existing drainage. <br />8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and <br />testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour <br />notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. <br />All re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />9. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the City of Stockton <br />for traffic control or any work within the City's jurisdiction. Payment for this <br />will be considered to be included in the various items of work. <br />�--�' — — _ 10. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench <br />— J marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all <br />0.25 HMA expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or <br />(Type A) disturbance. <br />/ 11.,The�ntractor must notify the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities <br />�5 4y vtr-r • artment at (209) 937-8725 seventy two (72) hours in advance of adjusting <br />the City's facilities to finished grade. Refer to the City's <br />Standards for <br />/ adjusting facilities to grade. <br />12. The Contractor is to remove and dispose all existing Thermoplastic Pavement <br />Markings at the Waterloo Road intersections of all Project Streets. The Contractor must take necessary precautions to prevent any damage to <br />stamped asphalt concrete crosswalk areas at Waterloo Road intersection. In <br />the event that such damage should occur from the Contractor's operations, <br />the Contractor shall repair or replace or bring to original condition the <br />damaged stamped asphalt concrete crosswalk at the Contractor's expense. <br />14. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required next to the lip of <br />gutter and at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within <br />the Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment <br />for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid <br />for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement, <br />15.
