�O <br />N <br />0 <br />GENERAL NOTES: <br />1. 0.17' Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must be placed in one (1) layer. <br />2. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used in <br />Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Driveways must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used for <br />Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in <br />place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor <br />must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, <br />except for final shoulder grading, must <br />be completed prior to <br />placing the <br />final layer <br />of <br />Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement. No Shoulder <br />Backing material will <br />be deposited or <br />drifted on <br />the <br />final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt surfacing. <br />Where the shoulder <br />placement <br />exceeds 0.50' <br />10 <br />in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must <br />be placed in two (2) <br />or more fully <br />compacted <br />layers. <br />8. Shoulder Backing or native material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration <br />Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be <br />confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection <br />conform. <br />9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all <br />facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. <br />All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the <br />Contractor. <br />10. The Contractor must <br />notify the City of Stockton at <br />(209) <br />937-5658 72 hours in advance <br />of adjusting the City's <br />facilities to finished grade. <br />Refer <br />to the City's Standards for <br />adjusting facilities to <br />grade. <br />approvals <br />applicable to the project. <br />11. The Contractor <br />must obtain all <br />permits and <br />licenses required for the construction and <br />completion of <br />the project, and <br />must perform <br />all work in accordance with the requirements <br />and conditions <br />of all permits and <br />approvals <br />applicable to the project. <br />Troy <br />12. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required next to the lip of gutter and <br />at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing Asphalt <br />Concrete Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be <br />considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete <br />Pavement. <br />13.
