�O N 0 GENERAL NOTES: 1. 0.17' Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must be placed in one (1) layer. 2. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. 3. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Driveways must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used for Mainline Paving has been completed. 4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' 10 in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. 8. Shoulder Backing or native material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. 9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. 10. The Contractor must notify the City of Stockton at (209) 937-5658 72 hours in advance of adjusting the City's facilities to finished grade. Refer to the City's Standards for adjusting facilities to grade. approvals applicable to the project. 11. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction and completion of the project, and must perform all work in accordance with the requirements and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. Troy 12. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required next to the lip of gutter and at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement. 13. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance.
